LG LSM-100 Smart Mouse Scanner
LG is set to unveil a unique laser mouse at the IFA 2011 trade event in Berlin, Germany. The LG LSM-100 is not only good at navigating through your computer, it also comes with a “Smart Scan” button that allows users to scan documents. Simply hold the Smart Scan button while swiping through the material to be scanned and the image can be saved in a variety of file types such as PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PDF, XLS, and DOC.This special mouse also comes with LG’s Optical Character Recognition technology that converts scanned text into a DOC file, which can then be edited as the user sees fit. This eliminates the need to retype the whole printed material onto the computer, thus saving a lot of time. Another advantage the LG LSM-100 holds against traditional scanners is that the device is not frame-restricted, allowing users to scan materials up to A3 size.
LG has yet to reveal availability details of this very smart gadget.
